Why Dine at the RH Restaurant, From the Brand Formerly Called Restoration Hardware?
What’s a place like this doing on a list of the best restaurants in the world? A New Yorker dining on the finest food, of course. Here’s what you need to know.
The name of this place was Restoration Hardware before it was bought by General Growth Properties in 2002, which then renamed the brand to RH. The New York Times says it’s “a place to get the best of the best from the finest restaurants around—from New York to Seoul.” I can see why it would be a contender for best restaurant in the world. It has a stunningly beautiful front window that displays the dishes that have been prepared that day, so you can be sure the food has been professionally prepared with care. Each table has its own private dining room, unlike most restaurants that have just one dining room service area for each table. You can get to know your fellow diners by being offered a wine by the glass. You can order anything—but try to order something that you have never tried, like duck foie gras with rose petals.
But how does this place hold up to a restaurant named Best Restaurant in the World, and what makes it so special? It turns out, it’s not just about great food—it’s about the staff.

Fred’s son opened Bowery Restaurant in 2013, and now it can be found on the ground floor of the Bowery Hotel & Restaurant. It serves the same menu, albeit, as the Bowery Restaurant did, with a
