Cooler weather is on the way this weekend, and so are Santa Ana winds.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s forecast calls for a high of 87 on Saturday, a low of 84 on Sunday, and a high of 78 on Monday, but with the possibility of rain over the weekend. The same weather officials are expecting the stormy-but-calm conditions to continue for a week or more after that.
At 7 a.m. Friday, there was a small area of fog and mist in town, but no rain. The wind was forecast to pick up to 15-20 mph on Saturday, with gusts to 40 mph at times.
The forecast for Santa Ana winds is expected to be dry and sunny throughout the morning. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-80s and low 90s in most areas through the weekend.
