Ludacris was shot dead by police during a drive-by shooting at a club in Westchester on Monday night.
The 20-year-old was hit by police gunfire after refusing to perform at the venue’s closing party.
The Brooklyn Nine-10 rapper’s body was found in a car at a gas station in the Bronx a short distance from the club.
Ludacris was shot about 11.30pm on Monday and died on Monday night after being taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
In a statement released by his record label, Migos Entertainment, it’s claimed the rapper was killed by police after they arrived for the show.
In the statement, the label writes: ‘We are deeply saddened to report the untimely death of Lloyd Banks on Monday night in New York City.
‘Lloyd Banks was shot to death by a law enforcement officer at the 9:25pm end of MMG Records’ set at the Palladium at the Time Warner Center in NYC.
