James Corden, host of popular BBC TV series “The Late Late Show with James Corden” tells a reporter that he will not be allowed into a restaurant he has been invited to by its owner until he “talks nice to her” and promises to “be respectful” in the future.
James Corden and the New York restaurant he’s being banned from for the first time, The Nefertiti Restaurant and Cafe at 54 Greene St., were featured in an incident that went viral.
The video was filmed in July by a restaurant employee and shows the British television personality bellowing, “Fuck you!” and making racist remarks, according to the New York Daily News. Although Corden’s behavior was captured on video, he was quickly asked to leave the restaurant by owner Nancy Shatner by the time her son called to ask if he could stay and speak to Corden.
“I thought it was hilarious,” Nancy Shatner said to CBS News. “My son and I were having a conversation… and I was in the middle of a sentence and I was about to say, ‘Well of course he should have made more money,’ and then it happened again. And he just went white as me and was really distressed. I was just laughing. It was funny.”
A video of the encounter quickly went viral on the web.
