George Floyd’s family sues Kanye West for $250M after rapper disputes cause of death

Family, friends and the city of Durham are calling for a full reinvestigation after a video showing a woman screaming at and berating West has sparked a storm of controversy.
The video released by “Ye,” as he’s known in the hip-hop community, shows Floyd family members calling the rapper a “dog” and an “asshole.”
“Why are you being this way? Why are you calling us ‘assholes’?” a woman in a black wig and oversized sunglasses can be heard screaming at West in the video that was posted to YouTube at noon Wednesday.
“You’re making us look weak,” a man in a suit says. “You’re not making us look weak. You’re making us look like we’re afraid of you. You know what, just get in your car and go home, you son of a bitch.”
The woman then appears to threaten the rapper before the video cuts to West driving on Highway 301, seemingly not listening to the exchange of words.
“I think we need to talk like men about this,” the woman says.
“I think you need to learn how to communicate a little bit better with us,” the man says before the video jumps to the next scene, showing what appears to be West getting out of his car and standing still with a body bag in hand.
West didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday and his publicist later said he was out of the country for several weeks.
