Serena Williams has done it all in tennis, but there’s so much more to come from her.
On March 23rd, ESPN’s Andy Roddick will host his 10th Masters 1000 Championship, the biggest annual tennis tournament in the United States. Serena Williams has won seven of the 11 Grand Slam tournaments, which are singles championships won in tournaments without any players losing in round-robin competition. Roddick, who has had seven consecutive years at the Masters 1000, is the first person to ever play all the Grand Slam tournaments. On the women’s side, she has won seven consecutive Olympic gold medals, three consecutive Davis Cup Tournaments and has a record six consecutive Major Championships.
Roddick will have his own legacy by winning the most Masters 1000 titles of any male player, not only because he has been playing tennis most of his life; he will also be one of the five people to win the most Masters 1000 Championships. The others are Bob Mcdonald, the last man to beat the career Grand Slam record set by Jimmy Connors at 37; Billie Jean King; Lleyton Hewitt and John McEnroe.

Roddick won the first one over then No. 2 Ken Rosewall, the No. 1 and No. 3 men, in 1987. Rosewall eventually retired.
Roddick won the following year and went on to win another Masters 1000 and win a doubles and a singles at the US Open
